God spoke to Moses: "Tell Aaron and his sons, This is how you are to bless the People of Israel. Say to them, God bless you and keep you, God smile on you and gift you, God look you full in the face and make you prosper. In so doing, they will place my name on the People of Israel— I will confirm it by blessing them." (Numbers 6:22-27 MSG)
In spite of all their duties and rituals, the priests were not supposed to judge the people- they were to bless them. BLESS THEM
To Christians today: "But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted." (1 Peter 2:9, 10 MSG)
So, what are we doing? Are we pleading for God to save and forgive the sins of those in rebellion against him? Are we blessing people, leading them to repentance? Or are we busy judging people ?
